About The Role
This full-time permanent position can be based from any of the firm's offices across the South Coast. You'll be working within a busy Litigation team on a varied civil litigation caseload with particular focus on Personal Injury matters. While guided by several highly experienced Solicitors, you'll also manage your own caseload with minimal supervision. Civil Litigation Lawyer Responsibilities
- Work within busy litigation team managing varied civil litigation caseload with focus on Personal Injury matters.
- Handle Personal Injury cases from inception through to resolution with proven experience.
- Manage variety of other civil litigation matters demonstrating broad expertise.
- Work with minimal supervision while being guided by highly experienced Solicitors.
- Maintain highest client service standards throughout all matters.
- Meet and exceed time recording and billing targets consistently.
- Handle Debt Recovery matters where working knowledge exists.
- Manage Contentious Probate work where experience allows.
- Provide supervision and guidance to less experienced lawyers and support staff as career progresses.
- Develop business through good negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Utilise case management systems effectively for efficient file management.
Civil Litigation Lawyer Requirements
- NQ to 5+ years PQE Solicitor or FCILEx within Civil Litigation with working knowledge of Personal Injury matters.
- Proven ability to meet and exceed fee earning, time recording, and billing targets.
- Proven ability to manage own caseload with minimal supervision.
- Working knowledge of case management systems and legal software.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word/Excel) with ability to type proficiently.
- Excellent written and spoken English with strong communication skills.
- Good time management and organisational skills with high level of initiative.
- Reliable and conscientious with high degree of professional integrity.
- Pleasant demeanour with excellent client care abilities.
- Own transport (car) for office attendance and client meetings.
