Role Overview
As a Commercial Lawyer, you will join a dynamic team handling a diverse range of corporate and commercial matters. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a junior to mid-level lawyer to work alongside experienced Commercial Partners while developing their practice. The role is primarily based in Poole, with occasional travel to Blandford, and includes flexible working options.
Commercial Lawyer Responsibilities:
- Handle company and business acquisitions and disposals
- Draft and negotiate commercial contracts including T&Cs, supply, distribution, and franchise agreements
- Manage private equity and investment documentation
- Prepare shareholders' agreements and resolve related disputes
- Structure share capital reorganisations
- Develop employee share schemes and incentive arrangements
- Support business start-ups and succession planning
- Assist with education sector work including academy conversions
- Contribute to team development and business growth initiatives
Commercial Lawyer Requirements:
- Qualified Solicitor with 0-4+ years PQE in corporate/commercial law
- Proven track record in corporate transactional work
- Ability to meet fee-earning and billing targets
- Strong technical drafting and negotiation skills
- Excellent client communication abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal technology
- High level of initiative and professional integrity
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Valid driving license and own transport
