About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing and innovative property department, providing comprehensive support across a varied caseload of residential property transactions while also taking on fee-earning responsibilities. Based in the Kingsbridge office with hybrid working options, you'll be managing matters from instruction through to completion, liaising with clients and third parties, and contributing to the smooth running of a busy department. Conveyancing Paralegal Responsibilities
- Managing a varied caseload of residential property transactions from instruction to completion
- Providing full support to fee earners on property matters
- Taking responsibility for fee-earning work as appropriate
- Liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth transaction progress
- Preparing and reviewing legal documents including contracts, transfer deeds, and completion statements
- Conducting property searches and reviewing search results
- Dealing with enquiries from buyers' solicitors and responding to queries
- Preparing completion statements and SDLT returns
- Maintaining accurate file records and updating case management systems
- Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and firm policies
- Contributing to business development and departmental initiatives
Conveyancing Paralegal Requirements
- Proven experience in residential or commercial conveyancing of at least one year in a legal setting
- Strong knowledge of the conveyancing process and relevant legislation
- Excellent understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance
- Proficiency in Leap case management system
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage varied, stimulating workload with competing priorities
- Enthusiasm for building lasting business relationships
- Commitment to delivering exceptional client experience
- Drive to contribute to the growth and development of the department
- Confidence to handle responsibility and work with autonomy when appropriate
