About the Role
You will manage your own caseload of divorce and financial remedy matters, working alongside an experienced team of specialist family lawyers. The role offers the opportunity to work on high-quality and often high-value cases, with a strong emphasis on non-court dispute resolution including mediation and collaborative law.
Divorce Lawyer Responsibilities
- Managing a varied caseload of divorce and financial remedy matters
- Advising clients on all aspects of relationship breakdown including financial settlements, property, pensions and maintenance
- Representing clients in court proceedings where required
- Embracing non-court dispute resolution methods including mediation, collaborative law and arbitration
- Building strong, empathetic client relationships and delivering a high standard of client care
- Contributing to the development and profile of the firm through business development activity
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across the firm's offices
Divorce Lawyer Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with 5+ years' PQE in family law with a divorce and finance focus
- Strong technical knowledge of financial remedy proceedings and matrimonial finance
- Empathy with the Resolution ethos and a commitment to non-court dispute resolution wherever appropriate
- Excellent client care skills with the ability to support clients through emotionally challenging matters
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Organised, proactive and a genuine team player
Desirable
- Resolution accreditation in financial remedy or cohabitation
- Collaborative law training
- Experience of high net worth divorce matters
