About the Role
You will join a well-regarded Employment team, managing a varied caseload of contentious and non-contentious matters for both Claimants and Respondents. This is a role with real scope for growth, with a clear pathway for the right candidate to take on a leadership position within the department over time.
Employment Lawyer Responsibilities
- Managing a varied caseload of contentious and non-contentious employment matters
- Advising clients on the full range of employment law issues including unfair dismissal, discrimination, redundancy, breach of contract and tribunal litigation
- Drafting employment documentation, settlement agreements and correspondence
- Representing clients in Employment Tribunal proceedings
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Contributing to business development and the growth of the department
Employment Lawyer Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with 3–7 years' PQE in employment law
- Experience acting for both Claimants and Respondents in contentious and non-contentious matters
- Strong knowledge of Employment Tribunal practice and procedure
- Excellent client care and communication skills
- Ambition to take on a leadership role within the department in due course
