Role Overview
As a Solicitor or Legal Executive in the housing management team, you will handle a diverse caseload while mentoring junior lawyers. Housing Litigation Lawyer Responsibilities:
- Handle a varied caseload including disrepair claims, anti-social behaviour injunctions, possession claims, and property disputes
- Conduct advocacy at County Courts and Property Tribunal hearings
- Supervise and mentor junior team members
- Provide direct client advice and maintain strong client relationships
- Deliver targeted training sessions and contribute to client newsletters
- Manage complex property and land disputes, including adverse possession and boundary cases
- Handle breach of tenancy injunctions and leasehold disputes
Housing Litigation Lawyer Requirements:
- Qualified Solicitor or FCILEx with proven litigation experience
- Experience in housing litigation (advantageous)
- Strong advocacy skills with experience in court appearances
- Excellent supervisory and leadership abilities
- Outstanding communication and client relationship skills
- Practical and proactive approach to problem-solving
- Commitment to maintaining high professional standards
