Role Overview
As a Litigation Lawyer, you will join a thriving litigation department comprising seven fee earners plus support staff. This role offers an excellent opportunity for career progression within a collegiate atmosphere, handling a diverse range of civil litigation matters while contributing to the firm's business development initiatives.
Litigation Lawyer Responsibilities:
- Independently manage small claims and Fast Track cases
- Handle Intermediate Track cases with appropriate supervision
- Support partners with Multi Track cases
- Handle diverse litigation matters including property disputes, landlord and tenant cases, contract and debt disputes
- Engage in business development activities and networking events
- Contribute to the firm's marketing initiatives
- Maintain strong client relationships
- Participate in team development and training
- Support the department's growth objectives
Litigation Lawyer Requirements:
- 3-5 years litigation experience
- Qualification as a solicitor, CILEX, or senior paralegal
- Strong experience in civil litigation matters
- Excellent client communication skills
- Proven ability to manage cases independently
- Commercial awareness and business development capabilities
- Team-oriented approach
- Commitment to professional development
- Ability to work primarily from the Exeter office
- Strong networking and relationship-building skills
