About the Role
As a Litigation Lawyer within this respected practice, you'll manage a diverse caseload with particular emphasis on property-related disputes. Based in their local office, you'll work full-time (Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm) providing expert guidance to both commercial and residential clients. This role offers the opportunity to handle interesting and varied litigation matters while developing your career within a forward-thinking legal environment.
Litigation Lawyer Responsibilities
- Manage comprehensive property litigation caseload including boundary disputes, easements, rights of way, restrictive covenants, and landlord/tenant matters
- Advise diverse clientele including individuals, landlords, property developers, and commercial entities
- Create precise legal documentation including pleadings, correspondence, and witness statements
- Conduct thorough legal research and maintain current knowledge of relevant legislation
- Prepare and represent cases in court proceedings, mediations, and alternative dispute resolutions
- Provide strategic client communication throughout case lifecycles with clear expectations management
- Collaborate across departments to ensure integrated client service
- Maintain meticulous case records while meeting compliance requirements and billing targets
- Contribute actively to business development through relationship building and networking
- Participate in practice marketing initiatives including community engagement events
Litigation Lawyer Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with minimum 1 year PQE
- Strong knowledge of civil procedure and property law principles
- Excellent communication skills with ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly
- Exceptional organisational capabilities and effective caseload management
- Client-focused approach with commitment to service excellence
- Proficiency with case management systems and legal technology
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure within deadline-driven environments
