About the Role
You will assist partners and senior lawyers across a range of commercial and civil litigation matters, with a particular focus on disputed wills and trusts. You will have day-to-day conduct of files, build your own caseload over time, and be actively encouraged to develop a specialism and your own niche within the team. The role is hybrid, with two set office days per week (Tuesdays and Thursdays), with an initial period of full office-based working to allow you to settle into the team.
Litigation Lawyer Responsibilities
- Assisting partners and senior lawyers on a range of civil and commercial litigation matters
- Managing day-to-day conduct of files with a focus on disputed wills and trusts
- Building a caseload and developing your skills as a litigator with structured support
- Delivering a high standard of client care to a diverse and varied client base
- Contributing to the team's profile-raising, charitable and business development activities
- Participating in regular team training sessions and team-building activities
Litigation Lawyer Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with 0–5 years' PQE
- Practical and proactive approach to dispute resolution
- Strong communication skills and a genuine commitment to client care
- Collaborative team player with the ambition to develop a long-term litigation career
Desirable
- Experience in contentious trusts and probate, though not essential
