About the Role
This full-time permanent fee-earning position (36.25 hours per week) offers the opportunity to work in their centrally located Exeter office. You'll be managing your own varied caseload of medical negligence cases while being part of an enthusiastic team committed to departmental development and achieving exceptional client outcomes.
Medical Negligence Lawyer Responsibilities
- Manage own day-to-day caseload effectively while maintaining exceptional standards of client care
- Handle varied medical negligence claims against Hospital Trusts, GPs, Dentists, and Ambulance Trusts
- Perform all work accurately and reliably in accordance with firm's risk management procedures
- Keep current with changes and developments in medical negligence law and related legislation
- Build and maintain strong network of professional contacts and referrers
- Contribute to departmental development and growth initiatives
- Provide expert legal advice on complex medical negligence matters
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and professional requirements
Medical Negligence Lawyer Requirements
Essential:
- Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with medical negligence experience
- Proven ability to manage varied caseload including claims against various healthcare providers
- Strong organisational skills with ability to work accurately under pressure
- Excellent communication skills with empathy for clients facing difficult circumstances
- Commitment to maintaining high professional standards and continuous development
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team
