About The Role
This full-time permanent position offers hybrid working flexibility after an initial office-based period in Exeter to help you familiarize yourself with the team, work, and available support. You'll be working within the Rural Property team handling fascinating and varied matters including manor houses, farms, woodlands, holiday letting businesses, and nature reserves. With mentoring and supervision, you'll develop your skills across complex rural property transactions while building your own caseload.
NQ Residential Conveyancer Responsibilities
- Act for clients across a broad range of rural property work including buying, selling, and mortgaging manor houses, farms, woodlands, holiday letting businesses, and nature reserves.
- Handle varied and interesting caseload including residential conveyancing of higher value properties.
- Develop skills in specialised rural property matters including overage and promotion agreements.
- Deal with easements, sporting rights, and other rural property complexities.
- Run your own caseload with appropriate supervision and mentoring support.
- Hone existing skills and learn new techniques in this fascinating area of property law.
- Proactively participate in department and firm-wide marketing initiatives.
- Initiate, build, and maintain strong client and referrer relationships with land and estate agents.
- Collaborate with the experienced team while developing independence in your work.
NQ Residential Conveyancer Requirements:
- Newly Qualified to 2 years PQE as a Solicitor, FCILEx, or Licensed Conveyancer with some experience of property work (whether residential or commercial) gained during training or post-qualification.
- Alternative route: Previous experience in a property paralegal role with demonstrated ambition to qualify for this position.
- Personable, driven, and enthusiastic approach to work and professional development.
- Effective communication skills with ability to build rapport with rural property clients.
- Desire to build a successful career in rural property law.
- Comfortable working collaboratively within a team environment.
- Ability to work independently when required.
- Willingness to be office-based initially in Exeter to familiarize yourself with the team and work.
