About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity to manage a caseload of approximately 70 files, predominantly Intermediate Track EL/PL and RTA matters with some Multi-Track exposure. You'll manage files from inception to conclusion within a largely fixed-fee environment, requiring confident litigation skills and commercial awareness.
Personal Injury Lawyer Responsibilities
- Managing caseload of approximately 70 files, primarily Intermediate Track EL/PL and RTA with some Multi-Track cases
- Conducting matters through pre- and post-litigation stages
- Drafting pleadings, witness statements, and instructions to counsel
- Using case management system effectively for timely progression
- Maintaining compliance with time recording and financial performance expectations
- Communicating confidently with clients, insurers, experts, counsel, and third parties
- Identifying opportunities to maximise settlement and costs recovery
- Developing professional relationships with medical experts and counsel
- Working collaboratively within the team
Personal Injury Lawyer Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with proven experience handling claimant Personal Injury matters
- Practising rights (or ability to obtain within reasonable timeframe)
- Demonstrable experience managing fixed-fee caseload efficiently and profitably
- Experience handling Intermediate Track cases
- Strong working knowledge of CPR and litigation procedure
- Confident litigator and negotiator with ability to handle cases independently
- Commercial awareness with understanding of costs and profitability
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage competing deadlines and work under pressure
