About the Client
Our client is a well-regarded regional law firm with offices across Devon and Somerset, providing high-quality legal services to individuals and businesses with a personal and professional approach. About the Role
You will become part of a close-knit Personal Injury team within a nine-strong Litigation Department, working on a wide variety of claimant personal injury matters. The role carries real responsibility for business development alongside legal work, and there are excellent opportunities for career progression. You will be based primarily at the Exeter office, with hybrid working available after the first month, and will occasionally travel to other offices across East Devon and South Somerset to see clients. Full-time and part-time applications will both be considered.
Personal Injury Lawyer Responsibilities
- Managing and progressing a varied caseload of claimant personal injury matters
- Advising clients clearly and effectively throughout their matter
- Liaising with medical experts, insurers, counsel and other parties
- Drafting legal documents and correspondence to a high standard
- Attending client meetings at the Exeter office and other locations as required
- Contributing actively to the firm's business development and marketing strategy
- Generating and developing new sources of personal injury work
Personal Injury Lawyer Requirements
- Qualified solicitor or legal executive
- At least one year's experience in claimant personal injury work (preferred)
- Candidates from other litigation backgrounds with a demonstrable commitment to PI will also be considered
- Strong client care skills and the ability to build lasting relationships
- Commercially aware with a proactive approach to business development
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Well organised with good file management skills
