About the Role
You will join a three-strong Personal Injury team within a wider Litigation Department of nine fee earners, assisting on a wide variety of claimant personal injury cases. Based primarily at the Exeter office, with hybrid working available after the first month, you will also occasionally travel to other offices across East Devon and South Somerset to meet clients. Full-time and part-time applications will both be considered.
Personal Injury Paralegal Responsibilities
- Assisting the Personal Injury team across a varied caseload of claimant PI matters
- Liaising with clients, medical experts, insurers and other parties
- Drafting correspondence and legal documents under supervision
- Maintaining accurate and well-organised client files
- Supporting the team with business development and marketing activity
- Proactively contributing ideas for developing new sources of personal injury work
Personal Injury Paralegal Requirements
- At least one year's experience in claimant personal injury work (preferred)
- Candidates from other litigation backgrounds with a genuine interest in PI will also be considered
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- A proactive, enthusiastic approach and genuine commitment to personal injury work
Desirable
- Clinical negligence experience or knowledge
