About the Role
This permanent, full-time position offers the successful candidate an opportunity to handle a diverse private client caseload while continuing their professional development. The role will be tailored to your experience level, allowing you to build upon your existing capabilities while expanding your expertise within a supportive framework.
Private Client Lawyer Responsibilities
- Draft and prepare Wills for clients with varying circumstances and requirements
- Manage the full probate process and estate administration
- Create and register Lasting Powers of Attorney documents
- Develop and implement inheritance tax planning strategies
- Establish and administer trusts for wealth protection and succession planning
- Provide compassionate advice to vulnerable clients regarding their legal affairs
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and professional referrers
- Contribute to team initiatives and firm-wide development activities
Private Client Lawyer Requirements
- You will be a qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive
- Preferably 2+ years of substantial private client experience (though equivalent expertise rather than strict PQE will be considered)
- Comprehensive knowledge of private client legal disciplines
- Proven ability to deliver exceptional client service
- Demonstrable track record in developing client and referrer relationships
- Effective communication skills with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly
- Empathetic approach when working with vulnerable individuals
- Collaborative mindset with an enthusiastic attitude
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage priorities effectively
