About the Role
You will manage a varied caseload of private client matters including wills, probate, trusts, powers of attorney and estate administration, providing clear and effective advice to clients while maintaining the highest standards of legal work. There is also scope to contribute to the development of the Private Client department through marketing and business development activity.
Private Client Lawyer Responsibilities
- Managing a varied caseload of wills, probate, trusts, powers of attorney and estate administration matters
- Advising clients clearly and effectively across a range of private client issues
- Drafting legal documents and preparing correspondence
- Conducting client meetings in person and remotely
- Liaising with HMRC, banks, financial advisors and other third parties as required
- Maintaining accurate client records and ensuring regulatory compliance
- Contributing to marketing activities and the development of the Private Client department
Private Client Lawyer Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' PQE, though candidates with the right skills and potential will be considered
- Strong knowledge of probate, wills, trusts and estate administration
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage a busy caseload independently and as part of a team
- Strong client care ethos with a proven ability to build and maintain relationships
- Highly organised with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines
- Willingness to travel between Amesbury and Stockbridge
