Role Overview
As a Property Lawyer within the social housing team, you will handle a diverse range of complex property matters for registered providers. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a highly regarded team while maintaining a healthy work-life balance through hybrid working options.
Property Solicitor Responsibilities:
- Lead complex development site acquisitions from inception to completion
- Manage site setup processes for residential developments
- Draft and negotiate conditional contracts and option agreements
- Handle commercial landlord and tenant matters for registered providers
- Prepare Section 38, 104, and 106 agreements
- Oversee easements, disposals, and shared ownership documentation
- Support and mentor less experienced team members
- Maintain strong client relationships within the social housing sector
Property Solicitor Requirements:
- Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive (FCILEx) with 5+ years PQE
- Demonstrable experience in social housing property work and commercial property.
- Strong technical knowledge of development agreements and infrastructure documentation
- Familiarity with shared ownership lease structures
- Ability to manage complex caseload independently
- Excellent communication and collaborative skills
- Commercial approach to legal service delivery
- Commitment to maintaining high professional standards
- Strong project management capabilities
- Proven ability to mentor junior colleagues
