About The Role
This full-time permanent position is office based in Exeter within their expanding residential property team. You'll be acting for clients across a broad range of residential property matters, primarily freehold and leasehold sales and purchases (including for investor clients), transfers of equity, and remortgages. While supported in your work, you'll be capable of running your own caseload with minimal supervision, making this an excellent opportunity for a property lawyer looking to develop their career.
Residential Conveyancer Responsibilities
- Act for clients across a broad range of residential property work including freehold and leasehold sales and purchases.
- Handle transactions for investor clients, demonstrating commercial awareness and efficiency.
- Manage transfers of equity and remortgage matters with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Run your own caseload with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of service.
- Proactively participate in department and firm-wide marketing initiatives to support business development.
- Initiate, build, and maintain strong client and referrer relationships to generate ongoing work.
- Collaborate with estate agents and other professional contacts to maintain excellent working relationships.
- Deliver bespoke conveyancing service tailored to meet individual client needs.
- Combine traditional personal approach with modern efficiency and technology.
Residential Conveyancer Requirements
- You will be a Property Solicitor, FCILEx, or Licensed Conveyancer with experience gained from general residential property work.
- Personable, driven, and enthusiastic approach to your work and client relationships.
- Effective communication skills with ability to explain complex matters clearly to clients.
- Capability to run own caseload with minimal supervision while maintaining quality standards.
- Comfortable working collaboratively within a team environment.
- Ability to work independently at all times when required.
- Commitment to building a successful career in residential property.
- Strong organisational skills with ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously.
