About The Role
This full-time permanent position is based in Taunton, reporting to the Head of Conveyancing. You'll be experienced in the New Homes sector, capable of running your own caseload from instruction through to completion, and responsible for the day-to-day running of the New Homes team. Knowledge of the site setup process and related sales is essential for this role. The position includes regular travel to development sites and agent offices as required.
Residential Conveyancer Responsibilities
- Set up new sites and deal with all related sales transactions from instruction to completion
- Complete legal reports for team members providing guidance and technical support
- Take responsibility for day-to-day running of New Homes team, supporting members with training, progression, and wellbeing
- Work with Partners to ensure adherence to regulatory, client care, performance criteria, and SRA regulations
- Guarantee appropriate processes, systems, and compliance are in place across New Homes team including CQS accreditation requirements
- Undertake problem-solving and coaching on conveyancing process matters, exhibiting 'can do' attitude
- Utilise skills and experience to deliver pragmatic decision-making and legal advice
- Ensure due diligence in all areas of processing New Homes properties including Help to Buy, freehold, leaseholds, shared ownership, and associated sales
Residential Conveyancer Requirements
- Qualified Conveyancer with minimum 2 years' PQE in similar New Homes role
- Experience in New Homes sector with capability to run own caseload from instruction to completion
- Essential knowledge of site setup process and related sales
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with team leadership capabilities
- Excellent client-facing and relationship-building skills
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks across team
- Team player with positive and service-oriented attitude
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
- Strong coaching and mentoring abilities to support team development
- Understanding of regulatory requirements including SRA regulations and CQS accreditation
