About the Role
You will manage your own residential conveyancing caseload with the support of experienced colleagues and three highly skilled Legal Secretaries, allowing you to focus on delivering excellent client service rather than administration. The role is primarily office-based in Tavistock, with some flexibility and hybrid working available where appropriate.
Residential Conveyancer Responsibilities
- Managing your own caseload of residential conveyancing matters from instruction to completion, including freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, registered and unregistered land, re-mortgages, transfers of equity, easements, plot sales and deeds of gift
- Delivering a high standard of client care with a personal, relationship-focused approach
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and referrers
- Taking responsibility for billing, file management and compliance with SRA and CQS standards
- Collaborating with colleagues across the firm and contributing to the growth of the department
Residential Conveyancer Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive
- Experience managing a residential conveyancing caseload independently
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Confident client-facing manner and excellent communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Desirable
- 3–5 years' PQE
- CQS accreditation
- Experience with case management systems
- Experience supervising or mentoring others
- Full, clean driving licence
