About The Role
This full-time permanent position is based in Plymouth within their busy Residential Property Department. You'll be running your own caseload of residential conveyancing matters from inception through to completion while working alongside a dedicated full-time Legal Assistant. The varied client base includes residential purchasers, developers, and investors, offering excellent opportunities to develop your expertise and build professional relationships within the local community.
Residential Property Lawyer Responsibilities
- Run your own caseload of residential conveyancing matters from inception through to completion.
- Handle sales and purchases including freehold, leasehold, registered, and unregistered property transactions.
- Manage grant and surrender of easements and covenants with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Process remortgages and transfers of equity efficiently for varied client base.
- Deal with landlord and tenant matters providing comprehensive advice and solutions.
- Provide quality advice to clients across all residential property transactions.
- Work with varied client base including residential purchasers, developers, and investors.
- Work alongside full-time dedicated Legal Assistant to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Undertake business development and networking opportunities within the local community.
- Build portfolio and create your own network of contacts with referrers and agents.
- Prioritise workload tactically while working with minimal supervision.
Residential Property Lawyer Requirements
- Qualified Legal Executive, Licensed Conveyancer, or Solicitor with experience gained specifically within Residential Conveyancing.
- Motivated and ambitious approach to career development and client service.
- Enthusiastic, hardworking, with ability to work both as part of a team and on own initiative.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with excellent client care abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail with good numerical skills and organised approach.
- IT literate with proficiency in conveyancing systems and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision while managing multiple transactions.
- Tactical approach to prioritising workload and meeting deadlines.
