About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity to join a dedicated Land and Property team as one of its key lawyers, managing a full caseload of residential property and land matters from instruction through to post-completion. You will work with a residential bias while drawing on a broader knowledge of land law, contributing to the team's success and, ideally, providing guidance to trainee lawyers and support staff along the way.
Residential Property Lawyer Responsibilities
- Managing a full caseload of residential property and land matters from instruction to post-completion
- Working towards time recording and billing targets with a high degree of autonomy
- Providing specialist legal advice to clients on all aspects of residential property and land law
- Supervising and mentoring trainee lawyers and support staff
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Utilising case management and digital dictation software effectively
- Involvement in business development and networking activities, including via social media
- Contributing to the growth and profile of the practice within the local market
Residential Property Lawyer Requirements
- Qualified solicitor or Legal Executive with 5+ years' PQE
- Good overall working knowledge of residential property and land law
- Ability to manage a full caseload with little supervision and meet billing targets
- Experience of supervising trainee lawyers and support staff
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- High level of initiative and professional integrity
- Business development experience, including social media
- Reliable, conscientious, and pleasant demeanour
- Own transport (car)
