The Role:
As a Senior Mental Capacity Lawyer, you will work closely with the head of the firm’s Wealth Management team, and you’ll play a pivotal role in managing the complex and high-value affairs of clients who have received class-leading compensation awards.

Senior Mental Capacity Lawyer Responsibilities:
- Manage intricate Court of Protection matters for vulnerable clients
- Provide comprehensive support to clients and families dealing with acquired injuries
- Liaise effectively with internal teams and external professionals
- Balance and prioritise short-term and long-term client projects
- Drive business development initiatives to grow the practice area
- Train, mentor, and develop junior team members
- Contribute to the strategic direction of the sub-team
- Ensure compliance with Court of Protection supervision and reporting procedures
Senior Mental Capacity Lawyer Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor or Legal Exec with and extensive background in Court of Protection work (8+ years PQE preferred)
- In-depth knowledge of mental capacity law and Court of Protection procedures
- Proven track record in supporting vulnerable clients with complex needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to liaise effectively with a wide range of stakeholders including family members, financial advisors, care providers, and case managers
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Enthusiasm for team growth and practice development
- Proactive and client-focused approach
