About the Role
This structured two-year training contract leads to qualification as a solicitor through the SQE route. The position offers extensive exposure to Private Client work, including Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Probate applications, and Trust matters. Working alongside experienced practitioners, this role provides an excellent foundation for building a career in Private Client law.
Trainee Solicitor Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day caseload under supervision
- Assist with Will writing and Lasting Powers of Attorney
- Support Probate applications and Trust registrations
- Maintain accurate case files and documentation
- Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues
- Keep updated with relevant legal developments
- Manage personal workload efficiently
- Participate in departmental meetings and training
- Complete SQE studies alongside practical training
- Follow firm's risk management procedures
Trainee Solicitor Requirements
- You will have a law degree or experience of legal work in a law firm setting
- Private Client experience beneficial but not essential
- Excellent IT and organisational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
